Trust me, I’ve been there. I used to believe a holiday wasn’t really a holiday unless it involved sunshine and warmth. When I was 19, after finishing my first summer season as a nanny in Corsica, I had the chance to try something completely different—a winter season. At first, I was hesitant. I thought, “It’s just going to be cold.” But I decided to give it a go, and it turned out to be so much more than I expected. Experiencing snow for the first time and being surrounded by a stunning winter landscape completely transformed the way I viewed travel. It awakened a deeper curiosity in me—if something this amazing was out there, what else was waiting to be discovered? That one decision to step outside my comfort zone opened the door to a whole new world of adventure.
